Ongoing Research
Jenny may have published her thesis and graduated in December 2020, but due to unforeseen circumstances of the pandemic, access to the lab was restricted, so aspects of her work are still underway.
Realizing the significance of her research findings, and because so many aspects of her work are ongoing, she founded the Willison Foundation to support and continue developing her treatment.
She is working to convert her treatment into a more easily accessible form for her friends with MS who deal with more advanced disability and are not able to change their lifestyle and take the treatment.
In the meantime, she also founded the Global MS Society to provide support to her friends with MS and enable them to live a better quality of life while she develops her treatment.
She has been working as a post-graduate research volunteer at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, continuing molecular and histological work in the lab, and is analyzing her data and preparing manuscripts for publication.
There are also collaborations underway with neuroscientists and immunologists from other universities evaluating the neuroimmune mechanisms that are aimed to find out how the treatment she developed works to put the disease into remission, keep it there, and remyelinate brain lesions... if you would like to collaborate, reach out!
Please, pass the word along to everyone that there is hope for the MS community!
These organizations are very new, so be sure to keep checking back for updates on the progress of everything!
We are happy to serve the MS community and look forward to working with you on your health needs. The website for the Global MS Society just went live on January 1st, so please check it out! If you need services, feel free to contact us. If you would like to donate, please do so here:
